The Full Story

Katarzyna Dudareva (Katažina Dudareva), born on April 29, 1998, in Daugavpils, Latvia, has been devoted to music since childhood, beginning with violin and choir studies under Vanda Drobishevska. She started performing in vocal competitions at the age of twelve and continued her training at the Stanislavs Broks Daugavpils Music Secondary School (Teacher Jevgenij Ustinskov and Olga Salna).

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Academic Singing at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, assoc. prof. Kristine Gailite (2018–2022) and her Master’s degree at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, prof. Asta Kriksciunaite (2022–2024). In 2024–2025, she completed an internship at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Music in Florence, Italy (prof. Nemi Bertagni and Leonardo De Lisi).

She made her orchestral debut in 2017 with the Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Music College named after N. Rimsky-Korsakov, under the direction of cond. Alexey Vasilyev and Jonas Janulavicius.

Her operatic repertoire includes roles such as Bastienne (Bastien und Bastienne), Agile (The Lamb of God), Marcellina(Le nozze di Figaro), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Norina (Don Pasquale), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel), Pamina(Die Zauberflöte).

She has appeared as a guest soloist with the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet and the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, also performed in the choir and ensembles of the Latvian National Opera and Ballet, and appeared as a soloist with the Daugavpils Chamber Orchestra. Her concert repertoire includes works by Mozart — Great Mass in C minor and Saint-Saëns Oratorio de Noël, Op. 12, among others.

She has received numerous awards throughout her career. She won 1st Prize at the XXIV Vincė Jonuškaitė-Zaunienė Competition in Lithuania in 2024, advanced to the first round of the Symphonies d’Automne Competition in Mâcon, France, in 2024, and earned the Grand Prix at the Instrumental and Vocal Competition “Voshodyashie zvezdi” in 2022. She also took II place at the same competition in 2020, II place at the International Classical Music Competition “Kaunas Sonorum” in Lithuania in 2017, III place at the State Vocal Music Competition in Latvia in 2017, II place at the International Young Vocalists Competition “Bella Voce” in Latvia in 2016, and IV place at the State Vocal Music Competition in Latvia in 2014, in addition to being a finalist in the Inese Galante Latvian Musicians Competition in 2022.

She has refined her artistry through masterclasses with renowned vocal coaches from Italy, Germany, Austria, the USA, Poland, Switzerland, Finland, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
